Choices for a summer adventures includes hiking up to Amethyst Mine (the only one in whole Europe which welcomes visitors) or in the Pyhä National Park, canoeing, fishing, bicycling and swimming. The Aittakuru Amphitheatre and the “concert hall” built on the Luosto slopes offer venues difficult to find elsewhere. The best known events are for example Kuru Soi –festival week, Pyhä Unplugged and Luosto Classic.
